Renew the trade licence on time — and everything it depends on
A trade licence renewal fails for reasons that have nothing to do with the licence: an Ejari that lapsed last month, an establishment card nobody was watching. Madriat tracks the licence together with the company documents it needs.
The documents behind a licence renewal
A trade licence will not renew without a valid Ejari tenancy contract on file — and the Ejari should be renewed at least 30 days ahead.
The establishment card must be valid before any new employment visa can be filed, and a civil defence certificate, chamber of commerce membership and MOHRE bank guarantee each carry their own dates.
Late trade licence renewal can cost thousands of dirhams; Madriat's indicative estimate is AED 5,000. It is shown next to the record so the list is ordered by what matters.
A renewal task, opened for you
Forty-five days out, Madriat opens a task with the licence's real steps: Ejari valid, establishment card in date, DED or free-zone fees paid, licence collected and scan uploaded.

How the reminders run
- Nothing while a document has more than 60 days left — three months out is not news.
- An email every third day from 60 days out, to the person responsible for it.
- Every morning at 07:00 Gulf time from 20 days out.
- Three times a day — 07:00, 12:00 and 17:00 — in the last 5 days, and after expiry until it is renewed.
- Inside the last 10 days it goes to everyone on the account, or the department manager, flagged urgent.

Yes. Choose mainland or free zone when you set up, and add any free-zone permit that is not in the built-in list as your own document type.
